Ladies... and Gents....

... I went to a ball in Caledon. Well.. I tried .. lag prevented me to do any more than show up and dance a little bit. But I bought a smashing edwardian gown for it.... best buy of the year... I would say. I don't want to take it off, honestly. Took the chance to create a nice picture to put up over the fireplace.....

the flow of time

... doesn't stop at my door. I am not doing things interesting enough to bother you with my bloggings at the moment. A few things....
I gave up the Linden home. It never felt like home anyway, and I didn't like the neighbours. I wanted to tier down and rather wanted to spend my land elsewhere. Instead I made myself a little cozy homestead in Schism, where my heart lies anyway. Maybe I will try one of the triangular houses next time, but not now.
I also reduced land in Rimutaka Park due to the tiering down, and as a result there is a nice piece of roadside land on sale right next to my mainstore. If you are interested.. it is on Governor Linden Sale and therefore rather cheap. I would prefer neighbours with a sense of ... aesthetics. Unlike some I have at the moment. (No offense, but that box looks HIDEOUS..... she is a nice person... but... NO! PLEASE!)
At all my venues you will find vendors for the Bay City Post, a publication which I wholeheartedly recommend. As I do all the activities of the Bay City Alliance Group. There is always nice people and great fun to be found. At the moment you can enjoy Ice-skating at the Bay City Fairgrounds, if you are so inclined.
I can proudly say that I managed to win the Halloween decorating contest organized by the Post with my work on making Arthur's into a smelly and gloomy place of despair. I enjoyed it, I hope you did as well.
If you can please go to the JIRA and support the move to reinstall last names. I am so lucky I have one, I do think that it is only good for everybody if they return. I would so much like to prevent people from having to call themselves 187&SuperbunnyXXL resident.
Plans for the near future? Not really anthing exceptional. I am too busy to commit myself. I would like to go into the animated paintings a bit more, what do you think? I also should try and make myself a bit more familiar with Mesh and 3d graphics, or one day I will be a furniture Fossile...
Happy Roaming to you all.

Fantastic!

Ladies and Gents....
I have to admit it... I have a serious crush.
Actually.. it is more a serial crush.
And I don't know how it could take so long in my life to develop that.
If you are from the UK you might wonder in amazement... but I didn't see a single episode of Doctor who until about 5 days ago.
I accidentally stumbled on it on Itunes .. and was drawn in immediately. I started with Season 1 of the new series.... since it is the only one available there... and you can blame Mr. Eccleston ... but I am hooked.
It is the perfect combination of fantasy, science fiction, nerdy weirdness and romance .. mixed in with a load of great british humour. And suddenly I realize what all the blue police boxes are for that you can find around the Grid.....
Now... I am facing the dilemma that the BBC holds on to its products like an old lady to her handbag.. if you don't have a UK Ip you are stuck and all you can do is invest a fortune into buying the series (I did buy season 1... but I am hesitating...  Eccleston isn't in there anymore I am not sure I want to spend that amount of money for it..*G*)
And... I cannot buy it online.. I have to get the CDs. not fun. I want to load it on my Ipad....
Anyway. For the time being I can at least entertain myself with what the Grid has to offer DrWHOwise... and that is a lot. From the Tardis region to Katrina.... the NLS products and that of Novatech.... you can get all the DrWHO fix you want. I am now a proud owner of my own Tardis and as soon as I actually manage to use it you can see me flying it about.

I am totally fascinated by how much a story like that can draw me in..I even started reading Fan-Fiction! I guess I have hungered for stories lately.. work just took imagination out of my life a bit too much.
May that change...
and... YES! EVERYBODY IS ALIVE, ROSE!

New venue.. and .. stuff...

Hello people.
Time.. as usual.. has passed. I am massively busy with things RL.. and that just doesn't leave enough time and energy for the SL business to keep up. But I am trying.
A few things have happened since the last post....

For one I have somewhat tried to tier down, which made me sell some land (the Islands in Stoogle and the huts in Saimaa - as well as the house-boat in Sanchon had to go).. none of it was really ever rented out so it is not a big loss. I still have two huts in Schism that can be rented for very low rates. Also I sold a large chunk of land in Rimutaka Park, and am waiting to sell another piece to someone willing to pay for it. Nice piece.. just by the road.
The Stingray Main-Store and Gallery are still there... only a bit shrunk in size.
Due to these sales I had to relocate the Kirani Acessory Shop, which is now in Schism.

Also Mr. Swindlehurst had to give up his office, which was too posh for him anyway. He will now receive clients in his home. IM Nunca Swindlehurst if you need him for a job.

The store in Bay City is still around, as is Arthur's Bar. But recent changes have caused me to actually expand my land ownership again. As you might have heard the Teen Grid has been merged with the main grid recently, causing the adding of land to existing structures. One of them is Bay City, where practically a whole mirrored Instance of the urban area was simply added to the west (well.. transferred from the Teen Grid, that is.) The merge is now practically complete, only a few changes have to be made. The nice thing about this addition is that it is possible for everyone to buy land there, even if not a "Teen" by definition, as long as PG standards are kept. The prices of land were less than half that of the mature BC regions though. That was a chance I could not let go .. I managed to obtain a parcel of land at a "relatively reasonable" price in Bay City Truro and built a small stingray sattelite store there. The nice aspect: This is an upcoming area, a lot of the land around is up for auction right now, and there will be a PG Info-Hub not too far away. This way I can not only cater to Teen residents as well, who would not be able to visit my store in Falconmoon, but also finally consider myself a stable resident of Bay City, since until now I had been only renting (though GNext does not make it feel like renting.. thanks Harris!) I urge you to have a look at the available land.. prices are rising by the hour... but it is a one time chance to obtain a space in one of the best-working SL communities I have been around so far!

The Linden-home program has also provided me with a nice suburban place, which I mostly see as a showcase to present my furniture in a "lived-in" setting. Though... I should throw an occasional party there.. I think....
